Obituary for Everett Kenneth May

MAY, Everett Kenneth
June 17, 1924 - November 21, 2010
His many nieces and nephews
announce with sadness the passing
of their beloved uncle, Everett
Kenneth May, on November 21,
2010, in his 87th year. He will be
forever remembered for the
mischievous twinkle in his eyes, his
delight in children and an unending
love for cats. In earlier years, he was
an avid bowler, a billiards enthusiast
and a spirited crokinole player.
Everett's humour and kindness will
be dearly missed by his sister-in-law,
Norma May of Grimsby, and his
brother-in-law, Roy Clemens, of
Kelowna, B.C., as well as by his many
nieces and nephews spread across
Ontario and British Columbia. Born
in Trenton, Ont., Everett enlisted in
the Canadian Army during the
Second World War and served in
Italy. After the war, he moved to
Grimsby and obtained employment
with Canada Post. Predeceased by
sisters Marion Clemens and Evelyn
Lute, and brothers Stanley, Gorden,
Fred and Francis, in-laws Lenna and
Thelma May and Don Lute. Everett
will be remembered fondly by staff
and residents of Appleby Place
Retirement Residence in Burlington.
