Peacefully, after a courageous 8 year battle with bone cancer, on Saturday, May 1st, 2010 with her loving family by her side at the age of 79. Eva was predeceased by her husband Nils-Olos Hedlund. Loving mother of AnnKristine Hedlund and her husband Jens Neilsen. Eva will be greatly missed. Thank you to all her friends for supporting Eva in her courageous journey. A special thank you to Margaret Russell for her incredible compassion and care in the last four months of Eva's life. A Celebration of Eva's life will be held at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Sunday, May 9th, 2010 with visitation from 9:30a.m.until time of service in the Chapel at 10:30 a.m. Followed by a reception at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donation toward a memorial tree at Burlington Memorial Garden, in memory of Eva would be greatly appreciated.
