Graduate of St. Joseph’s School of Nursing 1958.
Peacefully passed away at St. Peter’s Hospital on Friday, Aug 30, 2016, in her seventy ninth year surrounded by family. Beloved wife of Kimble Jay for 50 years. Loving mother to Susan Jay R.N ( Boston ,Ma). Survived by Elvira Sentes ( Victoria, B.C). Predeceased by: Eva Schnurr (sister), Mary Svab (mother), and John Sebo (father). As a Registered Nurse, Elsie worked most of her career with the Victorian Order of Nurses. Elsie also was a Real Estate Agent and was a avid Gardener and Quilter. A sincere Thank you to the Physicians and Nurses on 4C at Juravinski Hospital and 3 East at St.Peter’s Hospital. On behalf of the Family a Heartfelt Thank you to : Helena McNeil St. Josephs School of Nursing 1968, Kelly Kavanaugh, Linda Battilana, Laura Mc Lean, Elvira Sentes, Daniela Di Nardo, Boston Childrens Hospital CVOR Staff, Aimee and Jay Messina, The Lane family, Robert Castro, Mary Ann Cole, Kathy Linwood, Donna Beck, Maureen Campbell and Friends / Family in Ontario, P.E.I, and Boston. Private Family Viewing and Cremation have taken place. In Lieu of flowers please donate to Cancer Assistant Program (CAP), Hamilton Health Sciences care of Juravinski Center.
