Piercy, Elizabeth Collingwood (nee Thompson) â€" Betty passed away on June 29th, 2010 at the Carpenter Hospice, Burlington in her 85th year. Cherished wife of George Piercy for 60 years (deceased April 2006). Betty is survived by her brother John Thompson of the UK. Predeceased by her twin brother Tom Thompson, UK and Ralph Thompson, Australia and her sister Ruby Wheeler, UK. Much loved aunt of Elaine Jensen, Paul Matthews & Mark Matthews and many more nieces and nephews in the UK, Australia and the U.S.
Betty and George were avid sailors at the Bronte Yacht Club for many years. Betty will be sadly missed by many dear friends and neighbors as well as her beloved dogs Kirsty & Angus. Special thanks to Wendy Matthews, Jeff & Shawn Tombolini, Dot and her husband Alec Ralston & Jan Brokenshire and to all Betty's lovely neighbors who have helped her so much during this difficult time. Also thanks to Dr. Proctor for his kindness to the family.
