Peacefully at the Joseph Brant Memorial Hosptial, Burlington on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 in her 77th year. Beloved wife of Jack for 57 years. Dear mother of Brent Humby, Deborah Turner (Bill) and Laura Johnstone. Loving grandmother of Troy, Erin, Jennifer, Timothy, and Jason, and great-grandmother of Tyler Lopes and Zachery Humby. Eleanor is survived by her sister Catherine Sadonoja of Hamilton and Helen Penfold of Owen Sound. She was predeceased by her parents Samuel and Ruth Blease, and her sister Edith Walpac. Eleanor will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. A special thank you from the family goes out to the nurses and staff of Ward 4 East and to Dr. Holmes for their care and compassion towards our mother. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street (one block North of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Friday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m., where a Funeral Service will be celebrated on Saturday, April 24th, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. Interment at Woodland Cemetery to follow.
