Passed away peacefully at The Carpenter Hospice, Burlington, on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at the age of 53. Edie Deeks, beloved wife of Richard and dear mother of Celena Cambridge (Richard) and Andrea Turchet (Mark). Cherished grandma to Aniah. Edie is survived by her mother Mary Harvey (late Eddie), sister Kathy Brotto (Paul) and brother Charlie Harvey. Special daughter-in-law of Ivy Deeks and sister-in-law of David Deeks (Sandy), Hilary Leroux (late Don), Angie Smith (Harvey), late Josie St. Germaine, Carol Bench, Bobbie Modesto (Jim) and Ian Deeks (Penny). Edie will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Tuesday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Raphael's Roman Catholic Church, 4072 New St., Burlington, on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Cremation to follow.
