Beattie, Edith Edna (nee Walker)
After a long and full life Edna passed away on Monday September 13, 2010 at Macassa Lodge, Hamilton, at the age of 100. She was predeceased by her husband Sam (1991). Dear mother of George (Doreen), Marylou (the late Sam), Jimmy (June), Ann (Jim) and Billy (Sheila), and numerous grand, great, and great-great grandchildren. Edna will also be missed by her sister Kay of Burlington and brother George of Hamilton. Visitation take place at STONHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, GRIMSBY (905-945-2755) on Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. where a funeral service will be held on Friday, September 17, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. Interment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Stoney Creek. If desired, donations to the Salvation Army would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
