Obituary for Edgar Martin Breckon

BRECKON, Edgar Martin - Passed away in his 85th year at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital, Grimsby on March 18, 2005. Predeceased by his wife of 44 years, Dinah (nee Pentland). Son of (GW) Bill and Pearl Breckon and survived by his sister, Bernice and brother-in-law, Ed Wiggins. Edgar was a farmer most of his life, dairy with his father and fruit orchards with his wife. Born in Burlington, Ontario, he also resided in Oakville and Stoney Creek. He was co-founder of the Junior Sailing Schools at both BHYC and BSBC and involved in the volunteer program TOWARF. His love of sailing was followed by flying and travel with Dinah in the motorhome that he built. As per Edgar`s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral. His ashes will be placed in Appleby Cemetery, Burlington, Ontario.
