Thatcher, George Edmund "Ed"
Peacefully at Milton and District Hospital with his family by his side on
Saturday, September 11, 2010 at the age of 87. Loving husband of the late
May (nee McEwan) (2007). Dear and loving father of Keith Thatcher and his
wife Nancy of Wasaga Beach and Karen Sunter and her husband Ian of
Burlington. Cherished grandfather of Jennifer, Gregg (Ana), Kelly (Cory)
and David (Crystal). Fondly remembered by brother Bill (Jan) Thatcher.
Predeceased by sister Gwen (Ross) Kemp. Â"Special" father to Audrey Munt of
Tecumseh. Special thanks to the nursing staff and volunteers at Milton CCC
and Dr. Wong for their exceptional care. Proud advocate of the frozen food
industry for 45 years. Instrumental in the creation of Federated Frozen
Foods and recognized by the CFFA on many occasions. Cremation has taken
place. Service at Knox Presbyterian Church 461 Elizabeth Street, Burlington
on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at 11 a.m. If desired, donations to
Alzheimer's Society and Knox Presbyterian Church would be sincerely
