GALE, Douglas Clinton
It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of Douglas Clinton Gale on February 24, 2011. Doug leaves behind his wife of over 60 years Shirley, children Rev. Scott and Denise, 3 cherished grandchildren, Shane, Amy and Taylor. Doug was one of 12 siblings. Doug was with CHCH TV 11 (Niagara Television) for over 33 years, retiring after 11 years as President. He was a long-time member of both the Hamilton Golf and Country Club and the Knights of Columbus, was a Honourary Member of the Boy Scouts of Canada, and received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Distributors of Television Programs in Canada. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line, (one stoplight north of QEW) BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Friday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service in the Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday February 26, 2011 at 4 p.m., Rev. Allison Playfair officiating assisted by Rev. Scott Gale. Reception to follow at the funeral home. If desired, memorial donations to the Carpenter Hospice would be sincerely appreciated.
