Obituary for Dorothy O'Loughlin

O'Loughlin, Dorothy (nee Wellein) â€" Peacefully at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital, Burlington, on Sunday, January 24, 2010. Daughter of the late Alton and Maude Wellein and sister of the late Richard Wellein and Shirley Young. Fondly remembered by her husband of 60 years, Bill, her son Richard and his wife Jennifer and their daughter Erin and their son David and her son Peter and his wife Chloe and their daughters Emily and Julia. Dorothy was a loving wife, good mother, home maker, and hostess. She was competitive by nature, being a fantastic curler, golfer and bridge player. She was a long time member of both the Glendale and Burlington Golf and Curling Clubs. Dorothy represented her district four times in Provincial Curling Events. She became duplicate Bridge Life Master in 1967 and went on to compete successfully in many tournaments and teach the game she loved to countless others. Her association with the R.B.G. over 25 years looking after the finances of the Floral Art Shop was very satisfying to her. In keeping with Dorothy's wishes, there will be no visitation or Funeral Service.
