Obituary for Donna Green (Lynch)

Donna Green (Lynch)
Donna Green (nee Lynch)
July 1, 1942 - December 31st, 2015

Our smart, beautifully complex mother has passed away with all the drama she could muster
She did not go quietly into that good night, she fought to stay with us

Donna was well and truly loved; a fact that always seemed to surprise her; she will be missed by Brian, her devoted husband of 35 years; who was by her side as she faced this epic journey with trepidation, humor and grace. Her lovely crew of cheerleaders; sisters Nancy and Sue, sisters- in -law Betty, Pam and Elvira. The ragamuffins; children Steven (Andrea), Julie-Anne (Brian), Tom (Marilyn) and Paul. The 7 absolutely perfect grandchildren; Jessica (Dan), Eric, Liam, Connor, Jack, Ethan & Ms. Sophia. The prodigal children, cleverly disguised as exceptionally good looking nieces and nephews. Her cousins, friends & neighbours and her beloved Jean (Ernie).

Our sincere thanks to the outstanding oncology teams at the Joseph Brant Hospital and Juravinski Cancer Centers, to Dr.Arshat and his associates for their gentle, unwavering support and to the compassionate nurses and volunteers at the Carpenter Hospice for helping her nail the landing.

As per Donna’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Saturday, January 9, 2016 from 12- 1pm where a Service of Remembrance will be held at 1 pm with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to Carpenter Hospice, Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation (Cancer Clinic) or the Juravinski Cancer Centre would be greatly appreciated.
