Donald Gwyn Hudson
HUDSON, Donald Gwyn - Peacefully, at the Village of Tansley Woods on Wednesday, March 2, 2005, Donald Gwyn Hudson of Burlington, in his 85th year. Predeceased by his loving wives, Doreen (2003) and Dorothy (1981). Survived by his son Michael (Mary), daughters, Lee Kummer (Larry) and Susan Hudson; stepsons, Stephan Pyott (Jo-Anne) and Michael Pyott (late Arlene 1998); his beloved grandchildren: Donald (Brenda), Michelle (Frank), Leslie (Craig), Amy (Brent), Erin (Charles), Andrew, Hayley, James, Stephen, Kaylie and Jake; great-grandchildren: Frankie, Leeah, Ava and Cole. Also by his brother Colin (Joyce). Don was born in Yorkshire, England on June 19, 1920. He served as a Corporal in R.A.F. from 1940 -1945 and came to Canada after the Service. He retired in 1985 after 34 years with Westinghouse of Canada in Hamilton. Don, last of the Great Entertainers, will be fondly remembered as the pianist at the Terminal, Gladstone, and Firestone clubs and for his many years as M/C of the annual Dofasco Christmas Party. Funeral Service will be held at SMITH`S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Friday, March 4, 2005, at 11 a.m. Private enichement to follow. Donations to a charity of your choice in lieu of flowers will be appreciated by the family. We would like to thank the entire staff of the Village of Tansley Woods for their exceptional care of our father over the past years.
