Obituary for Domenico Pace

Domenico Pace
PACE, Domenico
May 31st, 1940 â€" March 15th, 2010
It is with profound sadness and
heavy hearts that we announce the
sudden passing of our most loving,
selfless, and ever generous husband,
father and nonno, Domenico Pace,
who passed into the loving arms of
Jesus with his family by his side. He
will be deeply missed by his loving
wife Teresa of 44 years and his
adoring children Anna and Claudio,
Paola and Dan, Nancy and Peter,
and Domenic Jr. Nonno will be
sadly missed by his loving grandchildren
Joshua, Elisa and Serina, Cassandra,
Daniella and Adrian, Cristian and
Anthony. Predeceased by his parents
Liberato and Rosina Pace and
father-in-law Franco Cavallaro. He is
survived by his mother-in-law Florinda
Cavallaro of Abbruzzo, Italy. Cherished
brother of Carolina and Celeste Di
Benedetto of Hamilton, Evangelisto
and Carmelina Pace, Augusto and
Angela Pace, Malvina and Tonino
Natale all of Abbruzzo, Italy. Dear
brother-in-law of Lucia and the late
Pasquale DeStefanis of Abbruzzo,
Italy, Luigi and Ivana Cavallaro,
Cesidia and the late Claudio Balassone,
Fred and Giovanna Pizzoferrato all
of Stoney Creek. He will be sadly
missed by many cousins, nieces,
nephews, and friends in Canada,
Italy, and the U.S. Domenico was a
dedicated employee of Dofasco for
40 years. At the same time, Dad had
an incredible passion for construction
and the works from his ‘hands of
gold' can be seen in the homes he
built for his children and the many
homes he built in the Stoney Creek
area; he was building until his
sudden illness. Dad was an extremely
athletic man and loved to watch
Italian soccer, play bocce, bowl,
walk, and exercise. Dad's passions
included his bountiful garden which
he cared for with great love, wine
making, playing cards with friends,
and vacationing to New Smyrna
Beach, Florida where we spent many
memorable family vacations together.
Dad was incredibly generous and
always willing to help others, never
expecting anything in return. The
greatest joy in his life was his family
and he worked hard to provide for
them. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL

Millen Road), STONEY CREEK
