Obituary for Dikran Dermanoulian

It is with broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of Dikran on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the Joseph Brant Hospital, at the age of 38. Dikran was a very gifted athlete who excelled at all sports. He also had an ability to walk into a room of strangers with comfort and ease, becoming friends with everyone at once. He possessed a heart of gold and extreme loyalty to all he cared about. Dikran was especially proud of his Armenian heritage and loved his family unconditionally. His family was the centre of his life. Beloved son of Maro and the late Krikor Dermanoulian. Loved brother of Armenouhi Hacobian (Aremin), Talin Ishkanian (Manuel), Ani Dermanoulian and Lucie Dermanoulian. Cherished uncle of Avo, Arev, and Ardziv. Deeply missed by many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. His absence leaves us with a hole in our hearts but not without fond memories that will last forever. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road) STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222) on Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. with Vigil Prayers at 8 p.m. at the Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, February 19, 2016 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Eastlawn Cemetery. If desired, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Armenian Relief Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family. www.smithsfh.com
