HYDE, Delphine Mary-
After a brief illness at the Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital, Burlington on Saturday, February 26, 2011, Del (nee Dimmock) Hyde of Burlington in her 85th year. Beloved wife for over 60 years of the late Vic Hyde. Much loved mother of Kathryn Hyde-Nagel and her husband Kevin and Michael and his wife Bonnie. Cherished grandmother of Veronica. Predeceased by her parents, Charles and Maureen Dimmock. After moving from England in 1953, Del and Vic settled in Hamilton. Moving to Burlington in 1958, Del was a volunteer with Canadian Mental Health for 20 years as well as Teletouch. She also worked for Robinson's Department Store for many years. Private Cremation has taken place. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street (one block north of City Hall) BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Friday, March 4, 2011 from 12 noon until time of Service of Remembrance at 1 p.m. Reception to follow at the funeral home. If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association or the Burlington Performing Arts Centre would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
