After a brave battle with pancreatic cancer, at his residence, on Tuesday June 1, 2010. Beloved husband of Lucille for 61 years. Loving father of Scott Wardrope, Diane and Gerry Kowalyshyn. Cherished poppy of Garret and Shannon. He will be sadly missed by many family and friends. David was a 42nd Degree Mason with the Wardrope Lodge and a Shriner. He was active in the Leander Old Timers Athletes and Sportsmans Club and Roseland Club. Life was about having fun, playing cards, sailing, golfing, curling and contact sports. Visitation will be held at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW) 905-632-3333 on Friday June 4'th from 7-9 pm. Funeral service in the chapel on Saturday June 5'th at 10 am. If desired donations to the Juravinski Cancer Centre and St. Joseph's Health Care Foundation Hamilton would be greatly appreciated.
