1927-2017
With great sadness we announce the passing of our dear mother and grandmother, Clemence, on Wednesday, March 22, 2017. Clemence died in her apartment in Burlington Gardens. Loving wife of the late William Doane Moody (2000). Beloved mother of Bob Moody (Angie Nadalin) and Elaine Jackson (Michael Moriarity). Clemence was much loved by her granddaughter Amber Larissa McGauley (Ryan). Also loved by her great-grandchildren Quinn and Jessica Gauder and Evangeline McGauley. Clemence was predeceased by her parents Modest and Maria Bamps, and her sisters Jeanne and Alice in Belgium. Clemence was a kind, gentle and generous person who appreciated a glass of wine, a good joke and the company of friends and family. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street, (one block north of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 from 3-5 & 7-9 pm., where a Service of Remembrance will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 1 pm. Reception to follow at the funeral home. The family wishes to thank the staff at Burlington Gardens for their kind support and Dr. Timothy Cuddy for his years of wonderful care. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Salvation Army, Alzheimer Society of Ontario or Plan Canada would be greatly appreciated.
