June 25, 1924 â€" November 3, 2010

On Wednesday, November 3, 2010, God in His infinite wisdom, took unto Himself from our caring hands, Clarence Vanderhout, at the age of 86. He follows his wife, Wilhelmina (November, 2001). Dad nurtured, loved and prayed earnestly for each of his children: Nellie and Hank Vyn, Marlene and Nick Kiers, Wilma and John Lindeboom, Clarinda VandenDool and Clarence and Cheryl Vanderhout. He was loved by his grandchildren: Brian (Ellen) Vyn, Stan (Krissy) Vyn, Al (Amanda) Vyn, Sonia (Henry) Brouwer, Mike (Rachel) Kiers, Sandra (Steve) Eckersley, Dave (Brenda) Kiers, Sharon (Bart) Huizinga, Scott (Becky) Lindeboom, Dan (Joanne) Lindeboom, Monique Lindeboom, Ben (Leanne) Lindeboom, John, Jessica and James VandenDool and Amber, Shannon and Aaron Vanderhout. He was also the much loved Opa to 18 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by children, Johnny, Mary and Calvin and grandchild, Jason. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Nell Vanderhout, Adrian Vanderhout, Peter (Roelie) Vanderhout, Truus (Simon) Voorberg, John (Marie) Vanderhout, Joyce Vangeest, Co Voskamp, Ed (Tina) Vangeest, Laney Nyland, Cor (Barb) Vangeest, Gerda (Herman) VanderMeulen. Predeceased by Simon Vanderhout, Ger Vanderhout, Sylvia Vanderhout, Adrian Vangeest, Arie Voskamp and Henk Nyland. Friends and family are invited to call at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, GRIMSBY (905-945-2755) on Friday from 3-5 and 7-9 pm. A Celebration of Clarence's life will be held at Fruitland Christian Reformed Church, 805 Highway #8, Stoney Creek, on Saturday, November 6, 2010, at 11 am. Private interment Grimsby Mountain Cemetery prior to the service. If desired, memorial contributions can be made to the charity of your choice or make someone's day by bringing them a bouqet of flowers.
