SZWARZ, Chester -
Passed away peacefully and surrounded by family at his home in Burlington, on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at the age of 89. Loving husband to Gladys Szwarz (nee Urbaniak) for 66 years. Proud father to sons Andre (Lori), Bob (Janice), and Henry. Cherished grandfather to Jeff, Carla, Michael, Bryan, Matthew, and Jordan. Chester will also be fondly missed by his sisters Irene Goldstein and late Lucy Socha, and their extended families in South Carolina and Kelowna B.C., and many other friends. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of CCAC, Acclaim Health, and other support staff for the excellent care that Chester received. Visitation to take place at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 GUELPH LINE, BURLINGTON (one stoplight north of the QEW), 905-632-3333, on Friday, September 25, 2015 from 6-9pm, where a Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September, 26, 2015 at 10:30am. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Mausoleum (600 Spring Gardens Road, Burlington). As an expression of sympathy, donations made in Chester’s memory to a charity of your choice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
