Passed away at Billings Court Manor, Burlington, on Sunday, January 1, 2006, in his 89th year. Beloved husband of the late Marie (1999). Dear father of Michael DeFreitas and his wife Francine Ouellet of Burlington, Donna Montforts and her husband Heinz of Caledonia, Alicia DeFreitas of Oakville and Peter DeFreitas and his wife Patricia of Burlington. Loved grandpa of six grandchildren and great-grandfather of five. Cecil will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his nephew Joseph DeFreitas and his family of Burlington. Special thanks to Colleen and Gail Rochefort for your kindness and compassion and to Breen Duchesne for all of your care and assistance. Visitation at SMITH`S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line, (one stoplight north of QEW) BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Wednesday from 3-5 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Brant Street (at Blairholm), Burlington, on Thursday, January 5, 2006 at 10 am. Interment Burlington Memorial Gardens. If desired, expressions of sympathy to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family. Vigil for Cecil will be held at the Funeral Home Wednesday at 8 pm.
