Passed away peacefully at Billings Court Manor, Burlington, on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at the age of 83. Beloved wife of the late Hugh (2010) and loving mother of Rod (Nancy), Veronica Haunts (Al), Steve (Bev), Graham (late Kym) and Hugh (Ann). Cherished grandmother of Ashley (Kyle), Kristen (Jason), Jennifer, Larkin, Sarah, William, Gordon, Matthew, Morgan, Brooke and Jacob. Cathie will be dearly missed by sister Stella McDowall, sisters-in-law Muriel and Rena, and brother-in-law James. Predeceased by sisters, Marjory Knowles, Noreen Thomson, Mary Millar and brother Archie Thomson. She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Thursday, February 11, 2016 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at St Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, 196 Kenwood Avenue, Burlington on Friday, February 12, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Woodland Cemetery. For those who wish memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
