GRANT, Carl Frederick (March 16, 1925 - April 3, 2006) - Peacefully at The Carpenter Hospice in Burlington, at the age of 81 years. Predeceased by his loving wives, Doris Ethel (nee Donnelly) and Grace Elizabeth (nee Leppard) and by his son Daniel Frederick. Loved father of Susan Henderson. Cherished grandfather of Lisa. Lovingly remembered by his step-children Jane Sedore (Steve), Rick Prodger (Annette), Graham Prodger (Donna) and step-grandchildren Trevor, Christopher, Katrina, Eric, Jack and Erica. Dear brother of Clayton (Ethel) of Leamington and Elton (Yoland) of Winnipeg and the late Stanley, Harold and Harvey. Blessed to have been loved and tenderly cared for by Shirley Coughlin and best buddy of Reg Harrison. He will be fondly remembered by the Coughlin and Proctor families. Carl will also be missed by his many friends at the Royal Canadian Legion and the Navy Club, where he enjoyed playing cards. A special thank you to the wonderful staff at The Carpenter Hospice for their tender care and compassion. A Service of Remembrance will be held at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Saturday, April 8, 2006 at 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to The Carpenter Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
