Obituary for Bill Weber

Bill Weber
William (Bill) Weber

Suddenly on February 22, 2010 in his 58th year. Bill leaves his wife Helene Rochefort, and his sons Matthew, Adam, Damian and John Weber, of whom he was so proud. Bill was predeceased by his parents, Wilfred Q Weber and Jean Weber (Fischer), and by his brother George. He will be remembered by his sisters Mary, Joan, Doris, Betty, Judy & Rita, and their families. Bill was born and raised in the Walkerton area, and graduated from the University of Waterloo in Systems Design Engineering. He worked for GE Canada for 30 years, first as a field engineer, then as a manager and he will be missed by colleagues. His work ethic was second to none, and he was a "doer" in every sense of the word â€" if it was broken, he could fix it. Bill was always ready to lend a helping hand to family and neighbours. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Friday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m where a Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Internment and a Funeral Mass will take place in Walkerton in the spring. Bill strongly believed that "you give people their flowers while they're still alive", so the family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to either the University of Waterloo Faculty of Engineering or the Wilfrid Laurier University School of Business in Bill's memory. www.smithsfh.com
