Obituary for Betty Louise Welsford (Foster)

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at Niagara Health System - St. Catharines Site, on Friday, March 25, 2016, in her 91st year. Beloved wife of Gerald for over 61 years. Loved mother of Beth Shepard (Wayne), Gerry Welsford (Janette Holmes), Nancy Welsford (Bill Corby) and Virginia Welsford (Tony Depalma). Cherished grandmother of Patrick (Eniko), Kelly, Colleen (Brian), Meaghan (Joe), Eastman, Cullen, Jeffery and Dianna and great-grandmother of Edwin and Thomas. Mom worked tirelessly for others, including the VON, Meals on Wheels and until her 83rd year, for MDS. Visitation at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, GRIMSBY (905-945-2755) on Monday, March 28, 2016, from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m., where the Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at 10:30 a.m. Reception to follow at the Funeral Home. Cremation to follow. If desired, memorial contributions to the Victorian Order of Nurses would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
