Peacefully at Joseph Brant Hospital on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at the age of 79. Beloved wife of Douglas Thomson. Cherished mother of Douglas Jr. (Alice), Dave (Margo), Donald (Valerie) and Debbie Chipchase (Steve). Cherished grandmother of Tiffany, Timothy, Kelsey, Kirstie, Candace, Elizabeth and Christopher. Betty will be dearly missed by her siblings Evelyn Hawe (the late Sid), Harold Le Drew (Kelly) and Annie Le Drew. Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Sunday, October 4, 2015 from 3-5 and 7-9p.m. as well as Monday, October 5, 2015 at Pineland Baptist Church, 5100 New Street, Burlington from 10:30a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 12 noon. Interment to follow at Burlington Memorial Gardens. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Betty are asked to please consider the Canadian Liver Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
