Obituary for Bessie Lamson

LAMSON, Bessie-
Peacefully at The Carpenter Hospice on Saturday June 24, 2006, Bessie Lamson of Burlington formerly of Toronto and Cardinal in her 108th year. Beloved daughter of the late Charles and Charlotte Lamson. Much loved second mother to Linda Hille of Whitby, Nancy Miller Karkoulas of Uxbridge and Bill Miller and his wife Maureen of Burlington. Bessie is also lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews and her friends. Predeceased by her seven siblings. Bessie worked for Elizabeth Arden, the Park Plaza Hotel and Maple Leaf Gardens when it was first built. Bessie also attended the final game and on ice ceremonies at Maple Leaf Gardens and sold the first hotdog at The Air Canada Centre.. She was also and avid Maple Leaf and Blue Jays fan. Special thanks to Dr. Hajcsar and staff , Allison Aldgate PSW, Barbara Semple RN from Comcare for their compassionate care and to all her friends at Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment and especially her dear friend Ken Dryden. Visitation at SMITHҒS FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line, (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Tuesday June 27, 2006 from 12:30 p.m. until time of Funeral Service at 1:30 p .m. Cremation. If desired, expressions of sympathy to The Carpenter Hospice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
