Clark, Bessie (nee Barr)
It is with deep sadness that Jean McNiven, Pat London and Alex Clark announce the passing of our mom Bessie (nee Barr) Clark in her 88th year. Predeceased by our dad, Harold Clark (1988). In 2002, Mom and our journey of living with Alzheimer's began. After living on Baker Road in Grimsby for 40 years, Mom moved to the Brant Centre LTC facility in Burlington in 2005 where she was lovingly cared for by the staff of Indian Point. On January 27, 2011 Mom reached the end of her journey. Mom has been and will be missed by her children; Jean, Pat and Alex; her grandchildren Andrea and Matthew McNiven, Garth (Brianna) and Garrett London; Katie, Ryan and Nicholas Clark, her sons-in-law Ron London and Gord McNiven, daughter-in-law Anne Clark, cousin and good friend Mary Brown, as well as relatives, family, friends and extended family. Cremation has taken place. Visitation at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, GRIMSBY (905-945-2755) on Friday, February 25 from 6-9 p.m. and will continue on Saturday, February 26, 2011 from 10 a.m. until the service of remembrance at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimer's Society, Heart and Stroke or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
