Obituary for Bernard Edmund "Ben" Hickey

Passed away at Shalom Manor in Grimsby, on Friday, September 2, 2016, in his 90th year. Beloved husband of Christine. Dear father of Susan (Paul), Matthew (Tracey-Lynn) and the late Kelly (2015). Loving grandfather of Alexander, CJ and Suslande. Predeceased by his first wife Lola (1968). Dear brother of Ed (Norah), Ron (Helen) and his predeceased siblings Roy (Anna), Audrey (Bert), Frank (Marney), Joe (Mary), Jack (Nellie) and Tom (Elisabeth). Dedicated brother-in-law of Paul, Michael and Fergus MacKinnon and Anne Milne. Special uncle to Meghan and Colin Milne. The family is eternally grateful to the PSW's and staff from ParaMed Home Health Care, especially Ben's "Lise", the staff at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital and the caring and loving staff at Shalom Manor. As per Ben's request, cremation has taken place. Visitation at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, GRIMSBY (905-945-2755) on Thursday, September 8, 2016, from 7-9 p.m. Prayer Vigil Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will celebrated at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 135 Livingston Avenue, Grimsby, on Friday, September 9, 2016, at 1 p.m. For those who wish, donations in memory of Ben may be made to the Parkinson Society or the charity of your choice.
