Passed away peacefully at the Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital on Friday, January 14, 2011 at the age of 58. Barbara Thorne, beloved wife of the late Don Thorne. Cherished mother of her daughter Victoria and her late son Brandon. She will be sadly missed by her mother Anna and late father Feliks, sisters Roseanne Erdelyi (late Bob) and Ina Lloyd (Steve) as well as her nephew MacKenzie and cousins Ursula Siek and family, Bogda Aleksandrowska and family. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Tuesday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Gabriel's Roman Catholic Church, 2261 Parkway Dr., Burlington, on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow.
