The family announces with sorrow, the unexpected passing of Barb on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital at the age of 82. Predeceased by her loving husband Julius. Loved mother of Debbie Murphy (George), Mark (Val), Shelley Henley (Norm) and John (Paula). Beloved grandmother/great-grandmother of 22 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Sister of Lilian Gould (the late Richard) and Bernie Porter (Dorothy). Predeceased by her daughter Barbara Csatary-Michaud (survived by Brian), her brother Sonny Porter (the late Lee) and granddaughter; Danette O'Brien (Csatary). Barb was a loving and devoted mother to all of her children and their families. She spent most of her life in Grimsby, where she worked at the Grimsby High School Cafeteria. Barb enjoyed countless years of bowling where she made many lifelong friends. Through her many struggles, Barb always persevered, a testament to her incredible strength and determination. Her family was her pride and joy. Special thanks to the medical staff of the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital, the Hamilton General Hospital and the McMaster University Hospital for their care and compassion over the years. As per Barb's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Barb's Life to follow at a later date.
