Much loved mother of Linda Plytas (Jim) of Toronto, David Buddle (Jennifer Thornton) of Surrey, BC, and Scott Buddle (Diane LaChapelle) of Fredericton, NB. Cherished grand-mother of Jonathan, Ariel, Jack and Sam. Dear sister of Elva Ward, Bill Gilbert, Robert Gilbert (Beryl), Denis Gilbert (Lois), Gordon Gilbert (Bev). Predeceased by her sister Dorothy Stirtzinger and brother Ted Gilbert. Joan was a retired employee of McMaster University and a member of Philpott Memorial United Church.
