LOYSON, Archibald
August 23, 1923-January 20, 2010
Beloved husband of Mary Loyson for 54 years, passed away peacefully at The Village of Tansley Woods, Burlington. Devoted father of Paul, Clarissa (Terry), and Tessa and grandfather of Spencer. Predeceased by brother, Alfred (Mary) and sister, Eileen (Wing Hoy). Will be sadly missed by sister, Ruth (Edward-deceased), and brothers, Jimmy (Helen), Gordon (Phyllis) and Norman (Lily) and all the extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws in Canada, South Africa, Australia, China and Malaysia. Born in South Africa to Q Siong and Liu Ling Loyson, Archie moved to China with his father for a few years but returned home to South Africa in 1939. He brought his family to Canada in 1974 where he laboured hard for a better life. He enjoyed tennis, big band jazz and the crack of a good joke. The Loyson family will receive visitors at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line, (one stoplight north of QEW) BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Sunday 3-5 p.m. with Vigil Prayers at 5 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 287 Plains Road East, Burlington on Monday, January 25, 2010 at 11 a.m. Private Interment.
