Passed away at Joseph Brant Hospital on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at the age of 97. Predeceased by her husband of 53 years Fred van Dassen. She will be dearly missed by her children Anne Moodie (Walter) of Florida, Derek van Dassen (Linda Stewart) of Toronto, as well as by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Cremation has taken place. A Remembrance Gathering will be held at 5280 Lakeshore Road, Burlington (in the Social Room), on Saturday, July 23, 2016 from 1-4pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Doctors Without Borders would be greatly appreciated. (Arrangements entrusted to SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, BURLINGTON 905-632-3333.)
