CHMURA, Annie (nee Yurkiewicz)
Passed away peacefully at The Carpenter Hospice, on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at the age of 91. Predeceased by her beloved husband Leo (1984). Predeceased by her sister and 10 brothers, survived by loving children Brenda Mowat of Brantford, Jim of Burlington, Bill (Leslie) of St. Mary’s, Gary of Burlington, and Brian (Donna) of Dundas. Cherished grandmother of 11 and great-grandmother of 14. Annie will be dearly missed by extended family and friends. Annie was a proud member of the Canadian Women’s Army Corps in WWII. A special thank you to The Carpenter Hospice for their kind and gentle care of Annie. Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street (one block North of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Friday, November 11, 2016 from 3-5 & 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday, November 12 at 1:00 p.m. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery to follow the service. Friends are welcome to join the family at the Funeral Home for a reception following the interment. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations made to The Carpenter Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
