STRZALKOWSKI, ANNA (nee Kozlowski) Suddenly but peacefully on Saturday, February 19, 2011, at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital, Burlington, in her 74th year. Beloved wife of the late Henry Strzalkowski. Loving mother to Frank and Barbara (Paul), grandmother to Michelle (Mike) Strzalkowski and Karyn (Cody) Lee, great-granddaughters Skyler & Audrey. Anna Kozlowski was born in Poland on Dec 14, 1936. She had two other siblings, a brother and sister. She married Henry Strzalkowski in 1956, and after the birth of her 2 children moved to Oakville, Ontario in 1964.Henry opened a Barber shop in Bronte, while Anna worked afternoon shifts at A&W for 5 years. She left A&W to work at GE Oakville (west plant) till her retirement. She was very well liked by all of the employees. Her son Frank had two children Michelle and Karyn, who later gave Anna great-grandchildren, Skyler and Audrey. Anna was very close to her daughter Barbara. Anna took great pride in her family and was always showing photos to everyone she knew. She was a wonderful woman who loved to spoil her family. Anna also was a very gifted gardener who took great pride in her beautiful backyard and garden. In addition to flowers and plants, she grew a large variety of vegetables, and fruits while living in Bronte for 40 years. She continued her love of gardening in Burlington. She had a magical touch that could grow any type of plant, and knew all of the names of all of the plants and flowers. Her love of nature was also transferred into her Bunka embroidery. Over the years she made several beautiful pictures of flowers, landscapes, and animals, which she proudly displayed in her home, and gave to her family and friends. Even in her 70s, Anna continued to be very independent. She loved her Tim Horton's coffee and Harvey's hamburgers. She enjoyed driving to various nurseries, shoveling snow, cutting grass, shopping as well as visiting her family in Alberta. Anna is dearly loved and will be missed by family and friends. She will be lovingly remembered for her sense of humor, bright smile, and kind heart. A special thank you to Hamilton General Hospital - 7 West, and Joseph Brant ICU.
