Locke, Allan Raymond
Peacefully, at the Brant Centre, Burlington, on Sunday, February 6, 2011, at the age of 93. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy Locke nee: Boone (2004) for 63 years. Loving father of Barbara (Frank) Smith of Schomberg and David (Gladys) Locke of Burlington. Cherished grandfather of Lisa Elaine (Dan) McArthur, Keith (Fiona) Locke and Marsha Locke and great grandfather of Sarah, Makayla, Curtis, Derek and Darren. Brother of Thelma and Herman Locke. Predeceased by his brothers Mack, Don and Albert. Allan served in the Merchant Navy, he was a member of the Burlington Legion Branch 60 and was a machinist on the steam locomotives for the CN Railway. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Friday, February 11, 2011 from 12p.m until the funeral service in the chapel at 1p.m. Interment Burlington Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations to Stroke Recovery Canada or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
