De Tina, Alfrida (nee Serafini)
Passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Hospital, on Monday February 8, 2016 at the age of 81. Predeceased by her beloved husband Lino. Loving mother of Diana Berthiaume (Terrance Welsh), and Frank De Tina. Cherished nonna of Nick Tavernese (Tazma Anderson), and Rose Clarke (Marlon). Proud bisnonna of Dante, Dominic, D'Shawn, Dolce, and Domenica. Alfrida is also survived by her brothers Adolfo Serafini (the late Celestina) of Stoney Creek and Arturo Serafini (Bruna), and Bruno Serafini (Sylvana) both of Italy. Fondley remembered by Cosimo Tavernese. She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by her sister Dora. Alfrida was a loving and kind woman who looked after and cherished her family. She will be greatly missed and always lovingly remembered. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road) STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222) on Friday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Prayer Vigil 8:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church, 304 Highway #8, Stoney Creek on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 10 a.m. Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery . If desired, memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
