At St Joseph's Hospital, Toronto on Saturday May 29, 2010., in his 85;th year Al Alsbergas passed away. Preceded by his wife Sheila (1994). Dear father of sons, Jonathan and his wife Sharon, Paul, Mark and his wife Melissa and daughter Christine and her husband Bryan. Beloved granddad of John, Jonathan, Jason, Michael, Matthew and Elias. Al will be sadly missed by many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews in Lithuania and England. Al was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 5073, where he served as Grand Knight and as District Deputy of District 67. Al was also a member of Pope John II Assembly of the Fourth Degree, he was active in the Liyhuanian Community as well he served on the Board of Directors for several charitable organizations. Visitation will take place at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME 485 Brant St. Burlington on Wednesday June 2nd 3-5 and 7-9 pm. A vigil for Al will take place on WEdnesday at the funeral home at 8.30 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Brant St., Burlington, on Thursday June 3'rd at 11 am. Interment will be held at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
