McCOMBE, Alexander Robert "Alex" (WWII Veteran) - Passed away at the Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital, Burlington on Sunday, May 1, 2005, at the age of 86. Dearly beloved husband of Iris (nee Le Clair) for 58 years. Loving father of Diane and her husband Claudio Bussandri and Wayne McCombe. Cherished grandfather of Kristen and Alexander Bussandri. Predeceased by his two sisters Kathleen Pullen and Margaret Jeffrey. Alex was a World War II Veteran and served overseas from 1939-1945. He then spent his working career with International Harvester, before retiring in 1997 and opening the I.H. dealership in Mississauga. Visitation at SMITH`S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. where a Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2005 at 11 a.m. Cremation. Private Family Interment to follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
