Obituary for Alexander Hatcher

Hatcher, Alexander James â€" Passed away peacefully at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital, Burlington, on Thursday, April 7, 2011. Beloved husband of Irene Hatcher (nee Gammage). Dear uncle of Ralph, Paul, James, Stephen, Hannah and Danielle. Predeceased by sister Heather. Alexander will be fondly remembered by long time friends, the Sunarich family. Alexander was born in Shanklin Isle of Wight, England. He served in the R.A.F., in the relief of Holland through Europe for six years. He was a retiree of Westinghouse Canada, and was a member of the R.S.C.D.S, Burlington group, Temple Lodge, Hamilton, training with First Groups at Mt. Hope. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Luke's Anglican Church, 1371 Elgin Street, Burlington, which he attended for many years, on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 1 p.m., with interment in the Churchyard, followed by a reception in the Parish Hall. Flowers gratefully declined, if desired, donations to St. Luke's Anglican Church Fund, for the upkeep of the church or the Leprosy Mission Canada, 100 Mural Street, Suite 100, Richmond Hill, ON L4B 1J3. Many thanks to Dr. V. Picardo and the wonderful nurses on 4th floor.
