ZONA, ALBANO JOHN
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Albano Zona at West Lincoln Hospital, Grimsby on Monday, October 18, 2010, in his 71st year. Dearly missed by his loving family: wife Elena, and children Lori (John) Salvatore of Mount Hope and their son Matthew, Michael (Linda) of Waterford and their children Zachary and Alexander. Also missed by brother Enzo and his children Sasha, Dushan and Damien. Special thanks to the many caregivers who helped Al fight through a 14 year battle with cancer so he could relish his role as Poppa to his three grandsons. Visitation at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, GRIMSBY (905-945-2755) on Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. with funeral prayers at 8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 135 Livingston Avenue, Grimsby on Friday, October 22, 2010 at 10 a.m. Burial at Grimsby Mountain Cemetery. If desired, donations to Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
