Robert Maurice Olivier August 13, 1970 to February 27, 2019
Passed away suddenly Wednesday, February 27th, 2019 from heart failure

Rob left behind his loving partner Sharon Down of Burlington, Mother Jean Olivier of Hornepayne, Father Maurice Olivier (Ruby) of Thessalon, Brother Terrence Olivier (Vera) of Ottawa, Brother D'Arcy Olivier (Paula) of Toronto and was predeceased by Brother Steven Olivier of Hornepayne. Rob will be dearly missed by Nephew Phoenix Olivier of Ottawa, Niece Meghan Olivier of Ottawa, Niece Natasha Bucknell of Wawa and Great Niece Skye Bucknell of Wawa.

Rob was the first aboriginal student to graduate from the Engineering Program at the University of Windsor Ontario. He has had a successful 25 year career as a Civil Engineer that included two years of volunteer work in South Africa. For the past eight years through Ontario First Nations Technical Services Corporation, he worked tirelessly behind the scenes to improve living conditions on First Nations Communities.

Often called an old soul, Rob was best known for his quiet voice, gentle nature, his kindness and his quirky sense of humor. he was an intellectual, ethical and fiercely protective of those under his care. His favorite hobbies included spending time with his pets, sailing, travelling, building electronics and computer programming. Self education and development were a constant for him. He was never without a project.

Rob's request for his final arrangements were simply for a private last moment with his immediate family The family appreciate all condolences and request that donations in his memory be made to support the Ontario First Nations Technical Services Corporation Student Achievement The Robert Olivier Memorial Scholarship.
