Obituary for Irene Schouten (Meynen)

SCHOUTEN-MEYNEN, Irene - Promoted to Glory on September 2, 2018, at the age of 80. Faithful wife to Adrian Schouten, who passed away in 2013, loving and caring mother to three sons, as well as their wives and children: Johannes & Phyllis (Seth, Grace, Rachel and Sarah); Dirk-Bastiaan & Mary Ann (Mattea and Elyse); Jasper & Alissa (Noah, Leah and Calvin). Irene will be missed by extended family in Southern Ontario and the Netherlands. A passionate woman who loved the Lord and served the church faithfully, she will be remembered for the lives she helped in practical ways; she was always there to serve those in need. We celebrate the life she lived and commend her spirit to God. Service of Thanksgiving will be held at Mountainview Christian Reformed Church, 290 Main Street E., Grimsby, Ont. on Saturday, September 8, at 1:00 p.m. Refreshments and a time of fellowship will follow the service. There is no public visitation prior to the service. In lieu of flowers; the family encourages you to make a donation to Shalom Manor directly or via Christian Stewardship Services.
