It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Antoni Frank Grabowski at home, peacefully, surrounded by his family on September 17, 2018 in his 96th year. Beloved husband of the late Petronela Grabowski (nee Kabasz). Antoni is survived by his sisters in Poland (Pella and Janka), children; Irene, Conrad (Linda), Janet (Keith), Pat (James), grandchildren, Nicole (Jason), Lindsay (Alex), Natalie (Kevin), Joshua (Jenna), Caitlin (Dave), Jessica (Bharath) and Kirsten (Lane) and great-grandchildren Nathan, Alexandra, Nora, Kiera and Sloane. Born in a small Polish village of Wielun, Antoni married the love of his life and emigrated to Canada after serving as a decorated veteran of World War II. An active member of the community and church, he was a man of great dignity. He had strong moral and family values and touched the lives of many.
Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street, (one block north of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Sunday, September 23, 2018 from 7-9pm. Vigil prayers 7:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Gabriel's Roman Catholic Church, 2261 Parkway Drive, Burlington on Monday, September 24, 2018 at 10:00am. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 315 would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
