Muriel Thelma Crowder (Stewart)
In Markham on September 14, 2018, Muriel Crowder, formerly from Burlington, passed away peacefully at the age of 95. Predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Phil Crowder. Greatly missed and survived by her daughter Judi (Bruce) McIntyre, grandchildren Shelley McIntyre (Brad) and Kent McIntyre (Heather) and great grandson Logan. Predeceased by her sister Jane and survived by her brother George Stewart and sister Sylvia Thompson. She will be missed by her many nieces and nephews.
Born in Hamilton, Muriel served in RCAF during WWII. She was a very active member of the choir at Knox Presbyterian Church in Burlington and founded the Bell Choir at the Church. Muriel and Phil traveled the world and spent many enjoyable winters in Florida. She had some wonderful trips with her daughter and granddaughter. Muriel volunteered for many organizations. She was always a positive person and loved to laugh and have fun. Her willingness to help other people was always appreciated.
A Celebration of Life will take place at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 1 p.m. with reception to follow. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a community musical organization of your choice.
