Obituary for Margaret Patricia "Pat" Patterson (Wilson)
Patterson, Margaret Patricia (nee Wilson)
Passed away in her 94th year on Tuesday October 18, 2016 at Joseph Brant Hospital, surrounded by
family. Loving wife of the late James Cecil Patterson. Devoted mum to Carol Patterson-Leclerc (Richard)
and Bryan Patterson (Denise). Cherished gran to Brittany Mertick (Andrew), Michael, Harrison, and
Andrew Patterson-Leclerc. She is predeceased by her sister Beatrice McKeown, and brother Mervyn
Wilson, both of Northern Ireland. She will be missed by her sister –in-law Margaret Wilson, two nieces,
five nephews, lifelong friends Stanley Cairns, and the late Jean Cairns, all of Ireland. Pat will be fondly
remembered for her smile, and hope filled disposition, the thoughtfulness she showed others, her
dedication to her church, and many charities, her determination, and never-ending energy, still driving
her car, running her own home, and of course her buttercake! Special thanks go to Nurses Jessica,
Cheryl, team leader nurse Carol, and Dr. Lang for their genuine kindness. Visitation at Burlington East Presbyterian Church (505 Walkers Line) on Saturday, October 22, 2016 from
9:30 until the time of the service at 10:30. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. For those who wish,
memorial contributions to Burlington East Presbyterian Church, or Heart and Stroke, would be sincerely
appreciated by the family.
