Obituary for Ailanda Foglietta (Ventresca)
Passed away peacefully at home with her children by her side on Sunday, October 16, 2016, in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late Domenico Foglietta (2001). Beloved daughter of the late Panfilo and Maria Ventresca of Introdacqua, Italy. Survived by brother Giuseppe and sister Maria, their spouses and many nephews and nieces in Canada and Italy. Predeceased by her brother Mario, sisters Vena, Ilda, Giannina and their spouses and nephews Gaetano, Giuseppe and Nando. Forever cherished by her children John, Ivo, Anna and Paul Kuzyk, grandsons Michael (Anna) Alessandro and Paolo); Steven (Diana) Lyla)), Adam and Sebastian); Matthew (Brittany); Jordan, Daniel, David and Sean. Our greatest gift came from our parents. They taught us love, honour and respect for ourselves and for others, that helping family comes first, that faith, hope and charity is what we aspire to. Special thanks to Drs. Sherman, Sur, Torres-Trejo, nurse Debra of the VON and PSW Lorenna from Bayshore Home Health. Donations to a charity of your choice. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road) STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222) on Sunday, October 23, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Barton Street East and Gage Avenue North, Hamilton, on Monday, October 24, 2016, at 10 a.m. Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
