Peacefully at The Carpenter Hospice, Burlington on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at the age of 74. Beloved wife of Alan Reid. Loving mother of David Reid (Tina Brown-Bloxam), Corinne Reid (Christopher Abbott) and James Reid (Sigrun Wister). Cherished grandmother of Nigel and Alastair Reid and Taylor and Evan Bloxam. Helen will be dearly missed by her sister Charlotte Southern (Robert) as well as her niece Leslie Southern and nephew Michael Southern (Melanie). Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Wednesday from 3-5 and 7-9p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, 80 Mill Street, Waterdown on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 11:30a.m. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Helen to Sunrise Therapeutic Riding Centre, Puslinch or Juravinski Cancer Centre would be greatly appreciated.
