Joy, Madeline (nee Griffin)

It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Madeline "Maddy" in Burlington, on June 20, 2016 at the age of 96. Beloved wife of the late Lenard William. Loving mother of Virginia Cooke (Bill) Madlyn Eng (Paul), and Michael. Proud grandmother of Lori, Paul Jason (Jocelyn), Paula (John), Lisa-Marie (Paul) and Rachel (Matthew), and great-grandmother to Jacob "bean" and Logan. Maddy was predeceased by her twelve brothers and sisters. She will be truly missed by all of her extended family and friends, especially Rose, Janice, Carolyn and Craig. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the CCAC, and Maddy's caregiver and friend, Alice. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Friday, June 24, 2016 from 3-5 & 7-9 pm, where a Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 10:30 am. Reception will follow at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Madeline to the Burlington Humane Society or The Salvation Army would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
